PABLO MOLINA GUERRERO (Concón, Chile, 1989)
Cineasta, Columnista de Cine y Cultura y Programador de cine, actualmente reside en Valparaíso, Chile.
Cursó estudios de Comunicación Audiovisual y el
Diplomado de Historia y Estética del Cine de la Escuela de Cine de
Chile. Ha realizado cursos y talleres impartidos por artistas,
académicos y cineastas como Patricio Guzmán, Andrés Di Tella, Iván
Pinto, Victor Kossakovsky, Udo Jacobsen, Benjamín Ellenberger, entre
otros.
Ha realizado ficciones, animaciones, documentales,
videos musicales y principalmente videos de apropiación experimentales.
Sus videos y películas se han exhibido en festivales, bienales de arte y
museos, como FONLAD, IVAHM, ULTRAcinema, FESANCOR, Flux Factory, Bienal
de Artes Mediales, Aichi Triennale, Proceso de Error, MAM, Grand
Illusion Cinema o en Mex-Parismental. Hasta el momento sus trabajos se
han exhibido en Portugal, Grecia, Brasil, Italia, España, Perú, México,
Colombia, Argentina, EEUU, Bolivia, Serbia, Francia, Japón, Alemania,
Nueva Zelanda, Ecuador y por supuesto, en Chile.
Ha escrito crónicas, entrevistas, críticas y ensayos para diversas revistas o webs de cine y cultura como Valpovisual, Cinechile, Sangria, La Fuga, El Agente Cine y recientemente RAM, Revista Archivo Manoseado, de la cual es Co-Editor. Desde 2016 pasa a formar parte de la agrupación INVE, Plataforma Experimental de Artes, ejerciendo de Curador y Programador junto a Daniela Lillo del Festival Internacional de Video Experimental Proceso de Error (Fondo CNCA 2015-2019) y de otros proyectos que organizan.
Fue Guionista, Asistente de Director y Co-Montajista del largometraje documental autobiográfico “SALEIA, horizontes perdidos” (2015) de Roberto Mathews. Es uno de los Directores del largometraje colectivo experimental “The Spaces Between Cities” (2015), organizado por la agrupación de Seattle EXcinema. Co-Director junto a Roberto Mathews del cortometraje documental “El Eterno Retorno” (Fondo CNCA 2016), que fue premiado como Mejor Cortometraje Experimental Nacional en FESANCOR 2017. Asistente de Director e Investigador de la serie documental de ocho capítulos “La Oruga, los guionistas detrás de las películas chilenas” (Fondo CNCA 2016) de Patricio Loutit.
Actualmente tiene varios proyectos en desarrollo:
- “Lejos del mundo, espistolario olvidado”. Largometraje documental en post-producción.
- “The Waste Land”. Cortometraje experimental buscando financiamiento.
- “Purgatorio”. Largometraje documental en proceso de escritura.

Pablo Molina Guerrero (Concón,
Chile, 1989) is a Filmmaker, Film and Culture Columnist and Film
Programmer, currently resides in Valparaíso, Chile. He studied
Audiovisual Communication and studied History and Aesthetics of Cinema
at the Escuela de Cine de Chile. He has taken courses and workshops
given by artists, academics and filmmakers such as Patricio Guzmán,

He has made fictions, animations, documentaries, music videos and mainly experimental appropriation videos. His videos and films have been shown in festivals, art biennials and museums, such as FONLAD, IVAHM, ULTRAcinema, FESANCOR, Flux Factory, Bienal de Artes Mediales, Aichi Triennale, Proceso de Error, MAM, Grand Illusion Cinema or in Mex-Parismental . So far his work has been exhibited in Portugal, Greece, Brazil, Italy, Spain, Peru, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, USA, Bolivia, Serbia, France, Japan, Germany, New Zealand, Ecuador and of course, in Chile.
He has written chronicles, interviews, reviews and essays for various magazines and film and culture websites such as Valpovisual, Cinechile, Sangria, La Fuga, El Agente Cine and recently RAM, Revista Archivo Manoseado, of which he is Co-Editor. Since 2016, he became part of INVE, Plataforma Experimental de Artes, working as Curator and Programmer with Daniela Lillo of the International Festival of Experimental Video Proceso de Error (Fondo CNCA 2015-2019) and other projects that they organize.
He was Screenwriter, Assistant Director and Co-Editor of the autobiographical documentary film "SALEIA, horizontes perdidos" (2015) by Roberto Mathews. He is one of the directors of the experimental collective film "The Spaces Between Cities" (2015), organized by the Seattle EXcinema group. Co-Director with Roberto Mathews of the short documentary "El Eterno Retorno" (Fondo CNCA 2016), which was awarded as Best National Experimental Short Film at FESANCOR 2017. Assistant Director and Researcher of the eight-episode documentary series "La Oruga, los guionistas detrás de las películas chilenas" (Fondo CNCA 2016) by Patricio Loutit.
