SINOPSIS / SYNOPSIS
Algunos niños sólo quieren
divertirse. Uno de los personajes más temidos en las películas de
terror, son los niños. Simplemente no se sabe qué hacer con ellos.
Además, ¿quién sospecharía de ellos?
Some
kids just wanna have fun. One of the most feared characters in horror
movies are children. You just don’t know what to do with them. Besides,
who would suspect of them?
NOTA DE INTENCIÓN / STATEMENT
Cuando era niño solía ver
muchas películas, sobre todo de terror. Algunas de las más entretenidas
era donde los niños eran los antagonistas. Este cortometraje nació a
través de un sueño, en el que veía estas películas mezcladas entre sí de
forma frenética. Al despertar, tomé nota, y empecé a investigar sobre
este tipo de películas. Finalmente, tras un listado de películas elegí
aquellas que hubieran sido filmadas en color. Intenté hacer un montaje
normal pero desistí, así que decidí reproducir ciertas escenas en el
quicktime, deslizaba la línea de tiempo de forma frenética hacia
adelante y hacia atrás, con la finalidad de que fuera similar a lo que
vi en mi sueño. Luego, junté todas esas grabaciones de pantalla y los
uní en la línea de tiempo, intentando hacer algo similar con el sonido.
Si bien es un cortometraje donde se rompe la continuidad espacio-tiempo
del metraje original, persiste una estructura otorgada por este mismo
tipo de películas.
When
I was a kid I used to watch a lot of movies, especially horror. Some of
the most entertaining was where the children were the antagonists. This
short film was born through a dream, in which I watched these films
mixed together in a frenetic way. When I woke up, I took note, and
started to investigate about these types of movies. Finally, after a
list of films I chose those that would have been filmed in color. I
tried to do a normal montage but gave up, so I decided to play certain
scenes in quicktime, sliding the timeline frantically back and forth, in
order to be similar to what I saw in my dream. Then, I put together all
those screen recordings and put them together in the timeline, trying
to do something similar with the sound. Although it is a short film
where the space-time continuity of the original film is broken, a
structure granted by this same type of film persists.

podem ser más, se não demoníacas. É o que quer provar este curta que
recorta diversas cenas de filmes com crianças pervertidas e endiabradas.
Se no início este exercício de montagem parece ser interessante, e até
divertido, logo beira a um ataque epiléptico com tantos picotes e uma
trilha insana."
